To avoid any misunderstanding, please take into consideration these points:
all touching of the legs in attack and defense, combinations, counter attacks and transition in Ne-Waza is considered as Hansokumake
1-All these ways for breaking the grips are valid - no penalty!


2-If Tori already has one or two grips he is able to make an attack similar to a "bear hug" and this is valid. All other "bear hug" situations are immediate Shido.


3-If Tori is holding a grip on Uke, then hand/hands with a grip can make a contact on Uke's leg without breaking his grip on Uke.


4-All these grips are valid, but must be followed with immediate attack.


5-This is not considered as an attack from Tori (this is a kind of a negative activity).


6-This is considered as positive attack from Tori, because Tori breaks Uke's balance.


7-Valid techniques - score.


8-Before gripping on the leg there must be a clear break from Tachi-Waza to Ne-Waza (in the transition phase it is never permitted to grab the leg of your opponent). It is agreed and understood that a greater degree of time will be allowed in Ne-Waza because of the loss of transition time from Tachi-Waza to Ne-Waza.
